FREEHOLDER DIRECTOR OPENS THE DOOR TO COUNTY RESIDENTS

The Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholder’s Director, Jack Kugler is opening his door to the people of Salem County. Beginning on February 5th, 2003 Jack will begin a new endeavor called "Face to Face". Director Kugler will make himself available to the residents of Salem County who want an opportunity to discuss matters of county business with him. He will hold these open door sessions from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. every Wednesday, except for county holidays, at the Clerk of the Board’s Office located at 94 Market Street.

When asked why he decided to undertake this initiative, Director Kugler stated that it is his intention to provide additional opportunities for county residents to become involved in and discuss matters that affect them as residents of this county. "Not everyone is able to or comfortable in attending the Freeholder Board meetings that are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7:30. This is yet another avenue to open the dialogue between our county residents and those they have elected to serve them."

This forum is in alignment with the objective that the newly reorganized Freeholder Board has undertaken to increase communications throughout the county. Audiences who are currently being targeted for increased communications include employees, elected officials within the county and residents of Salem County.

Those who desire to meet "Face to Face" with Director Kugler should call the Clerk of the Board’s office at (856) 935-7510 ext. 8203.
