COUNTY EMPLOYEES BOOST MARCH OF DIMES DONATIONS BY 39%

Freeholder Director Jack Kugler receives March of Dimes plaque from Salem County Employee Activities Chairperson Patricia Franceschini.

Salem County employees dramatically increased their donations to the March of Dimes by 39% over last year. The donation total exceeded $4,000.00.

Chairwoman Patricia Franceschini proudly reported sales of over 1,000 "Bean Bags for Babies" bringing in a whopping $3,141.00. This spring's March of Dimes "Walk America 2003" added another $872.00.

In recognition of this intensity of caring by the County of Salem employees, the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders will be publicly thanking Mrs. Franceschini and her team. Mrs. Franceschini will be presenting the Freeholder Board with the plaque commemorating Salem County employees as the third highest in donations countywide for the second year. The plaque will be displayed in the Freeholder Meeting Room.

March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birth weight.
