SALEM COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTOR APPOINTED
SALEM -- Freeholder Director Dave Sparks has announced John "Mack" Lake appointed as Director of Emergency Services for Salem County. Lake is replacing retiring 21-year employee Forrest Eichmann.
Freeholder Director Sparks said, "Emergency services progressed greatly under Forrest Eichmann. Our new director, Mack Lake, has assured me that countywide safety planning will continue to be a top priority."
Freeholder Deputy Director Jack Kugler said Lake was chosen for the job because he has the appropriate background in training and management and the proper education credentials.
As the director of the Salem County Department of Emergency Services, Lake will oversee the county's 9-1-1 center, the fire marshal's office, the county fire school and the county office of emergency management.
